LabLitArch in IL Magazine

Writer Vincenzo Latronico took part in the latest LabLitArch session (organized with the Fondazione Ordine Architetti di Torino for the 2015 Turin Architecture festival), during which he produced, with the two other participants in his group, a model and a text based on the short story The Harvest by Amy Hempel.

He just published a great piece on his experience for the October 2015 issue of IL Magazine: “A stunning intellectual experiment,” he writes.

“Architecture can be used as a conceptual tool to analyze and understand a story, by designing and then literally building an architectural model. […] The profound relevance of the laboratory, which goes well beyond the narrow circles of writers and architects […] is that it deals with the way literature is comprehended and taught.”

The entire piece is here, some images from the LabLitArch Turin Architecture Festival workshop are here, and here is Vincenzo’s group’s project.
